Active ingredients in skincare are natural ingredients that have been scientifically proven to change the structure of the skin at a cellular level. While synthetic (inactive) ingredients can make a product smell nicer, look more appealing, and create a more desirable consistency, the real benefits from your products come from its active ingredients.

Ascorbyl Glucoside (Vitamin C)

What is it: Stable form of vitamin c derived from starch.

What it does: Powerful antioxidant that stimulates collagen production, repairs and protects against free radical damage, evens out skin tone, brightens and reduces pigmentation and sun damage.

Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract

What is it: A natural oil extracted from marigold flowers.

What it does: Contains powerful antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, skin-soothing, rejuvenating, anti-aging and redness-reducing properties.

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water

What is it: A cold-pressed liquid collected from ripe coconut.

What it does: It is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, an antioxidant and a detoxifier. It assists in decreasing excess oils in the skin, breakouts/acne and the rate of skin aging. Contains proteins (cytokines) that encourage cell growth and cell activation as well as vitamin C, which protects against and repairs sun damage. Also contains B-complex vitamins and assists in collagen formation and hydration. 

Colloidal Sulphur

What is it: A natural sulphur that has been dissolved in water to form the colloidal solution.

What it does: It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and draws out impurities while drying out existing blemishes. Also assists in reducing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. 

Euphrasia Officinalis (Eyebright) Extract

What is it: A herbal extract from the flowers and stems of the Euphrasia Officinalis plant when in bloom.

What it does: An antioxidant and brightening ingredient that assists with depuffing and under-eye darkness as well as being soothing and anti-inflammatory. 

Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract

What is it: A colourless botanical extract obtained from the steam distillation of twigs, bark and leaves of the witch hazel plant.

What it does: An anti-inflammatory antioxidant that controls oil production, reduces blemishes, tones pores, soothes irritation and protects against free radical damage. 

Hempseed Oil

What is it: The oil extracted from the hemp seed of the hemp plant.

What it does: Balances the skin’s natural oil production, locks in hydration without clogging pores. It is high in omega fatty acids and contains 10 essential amino acids which give this miracle ingredient anti-inflammatory and redness reduction properties while also reducing the appearance of scarring and breakouts. It plumps the skin, increases collagen production, nourishes and treats and prevents fine lines and free radical damage.  

Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)

What is it: A naturally occurring sugar molecule that is extracted through microbial fermentation of plants.

What it does: An antioxidant that protects against free radical damage and promotes cell regeneration. A super hydrator that can hold up to 1000x its own weight in water while locking in moisture to the skin. Improves skin elasticity, minimises the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation and evens tone and texture.

Lactic Acid (Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate)

What is it: A naturally occurring organic acid that naturally forms when vegetables are fermented.

What it does: A gentle alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and the only AHA safe to use during pregnancy it exfoliates the skin, improving skin tone and texture while assisting in unclogging pores and treating breakouts, wrinkles and other signs of ageing. 

Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract

What is it: Derived from the leaves of the olive tree.

What it does: Protects against free radicals, calms irritation, reduces redness and irritation, enhances circulation and collagen production leading to a firmer, plumper, clearer complexion.

Sea Buckthorn Oil

What is it: Extracted from the berries, leaves and seeds of the Sea Buckthorn plant.

What it does: Contains healing and rejuvenating properties. It heals skin damage and dryness while enhancing skin elasticity and regeneration. Studies have shown Sea Buckthorn Oil can aid in treating rosacea and eczema.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

What is it: Naturally extracted from plant oils.

What it does: A powerful antioxidant that assists in preventing free radical damage, reduces wrinkles and has anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties.
