Caring for your skin in the Australian summer

It is that time of year again! Summer has arrived and with the Australian summer comes humidity, temperatures well into the 30's if not the 40's in some parts and exposure to harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Some simple steps to follow during summer to keep your skin looking its best are.

1. Wear a sunscreen. We are in the process of developing a TGA approved natural sunscreen however we want to have the formulation absolutely perfect before releasing it to you all. So in the mean time it is important to wear a TGA approved sunscreen daily.

2. Keep moisturising. A mistake that many people make during Summer when their skin starts to become more oily/sweating is they stop moisturising in an attempt to counteract this oil/sweat production however by doing this they are actually signalling the oil glands to produce more oil which can lead to blemishes and a generally shiny complexion. Keeping your moisturiser in your daily skincare routine (especially ours that contains Hemp Seed oil to balance oil production) will ensure your skin remains balanced and glowing all summer long!

3. Stay hydrated!! Water is your best friend in this heat and will do wonders for your complexion. Staying hydrated will help to maintain your skin's elasticity, fight signs of ageing and prevent your skin from looking dull and dehydrated.

4. Remove your makeup! We know that Summer is often filled with lots of catch ups with friends and family, days at the beach, late nights in the balmy summer air however no matter how tired you are, removing your makeup needs to be done to keep your skin clear. Our Makeup Remover Swipeys are the perfect, environmentally friendly option to quickly and easily remove your makeup with water or cleanser so you have no excuse to go to bed with a fully made up face! Plus you look fab sans makeup!

These four steps will keep your skin Summer fresh all season long!
