As we know, the skincare world can be a confusing place! There is always a new product, miracle ingredient or wacky celeb treatment that we feel like we have to stay across.. and try! Some of our customers have told us that previously skincare routines and the ever-changing must-do’s and must-have’s was just overwhelming and forced them to just “not skincare”. We understand and we want to help those of you who want a simple and easy skincare routine!

So hit that snooze button and lay in bed for an extra 20 minutes as we have the ultimate lazy girls guide to skincare!

 

1.    Stick to the basics - cleansing and moisturising

Even with the ever-changing skincare tips and tricks, daily cleansing has never NOT been a thing to do. It will always be a basic and a must in any skincare routine.

Simply wash your face to freshen yourself up for the day. Apply a small amount of our Organic Gel Cleanser  and massage gently onto the skin and rinse thoroughly with luke-warm water.

Bonus lazy girl hack: leave your cleanser in the shower so when you hop in to wash your body, you can quickly squeeze in the time to cleanse your face at the same time!

Moisturising your skin is like drinking water – a basic must! Once you have dried your face after cleansing, simply moisturise with a light facial moisturiser.

Cleansing and moisturising are the foundations of a basic, natural skincare routine!

 

2.    Be sun safe

Under our harsh Aussie sun, applying sunscreen daily is non-negotiable. Not only does it prevent you from the sun’s harmful rays and lower the risk of skin cancer, but SPF prevents premature ageing of the face and uneven skin tone. So, start every day right with sunscreen.

 

3.    Drink H2O to glow

A seemingly obvious tip - keeping your body hydrated is essential to good skin health! Drinking a minimum of 1.6 - 2L of water a day is important for our skin’s health year-round, but even more so in the cooler months.

Simply bring a water bottle wherever you go and take sips throughout the day to help your digestive system flush out toxins from the body. Your beauty on the inside is truly just as important as your beauty on the outside.

 

4.    Be active

You’re thinking, wait a minute, exercising is supposed to be a part of a normal skincare routine?!? Well, not exactly, however getting your body moving is so great for your skin health, so think of exercise as a replacement to a product you can’t be bothered to use!

Exercise increases your blood flow helping deliver oxygen and beneficial nutrients to the skin, promoting collagen production and cell renewal. Benefiting your overall health and skin health at the same time is always a plus!

 

5.    Night-time ritual

It’s dark, you’ve had a hearty dinner and have been able to enjoy a few episodes of your favourite Netflix show. It’s time for bed but you haven’t washed your face yet. Makeup removal is the most important thing you can do before you go to bed. Sleeping in makeup will block your pores leading to congestion and breakouts!  

So, the lazy girls guide to skincare includes removing the day before getting a good night’s rest!  

Skincare doesn’t need to be confusing and time consuming. With this simple and effective basic routine, you can still look after your skin’s health and appearance in under 5 minutes!
